CureFIP™ Relapse Program

A FIP Relapse is rare — it occurs in approximately 3% of cats treated for FIP. For cat owners concerned about this risk, we have established a clear, transparent Relapse Policy. If your cat has relapsed, contact our team immediately. We will provide you a customized treatment plan for your cat. 

Tier 1 — Full 84-Day Treatment with CureFIP™ Products Only

This is our strongest coverage tier.

Cats that completed the full 84-day treatment using exclusively CureFIP™ products are eligible for a 50% discount on relapse treatment, for up to an additional 84 days.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Relapse must occur within 12 months of completing the initial treatment
  • Provide the start and end dates of your cat's original treatment
  • Provide final blood results taken after completing the 84-day program

Relapse treatment duration ranges from 2 weeks (mild cases) to 12 weeks (severe cases), and will be tailored to your cat's current condition.

Tier 2 — Early Completion (Before Day 84) with CureFIP™ Products Only

Some cats show full clinical recovery before the 84-day mark. We respect the decision to end treatment early when a complete CBC is performed, and your veterinarian is consulted. 

Cats in this category are eligible for a 50% discount on relapse treatment, for up to an additional 84 days.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Relapse must occur within 3 months of completing the initial treatment
  • Provide a complete blood count (CBC) taken at the end of treatment
  • No vaccinations or elective surgeries (including sterilization) performed within 84 days of ending treatment

Why the surgery and vaccination are excluded? These procedures can temporarily suppress immune function and trigger what appears to be a relapse. To accurately assess whether a true FIP relapse has occurred — and to ensure appropriate dosing — we need to account for these variables. This protects your cat, not just our policy.

 

Tier 3 — Incomplete Treatment Without Final Bloodwork

If your cat did not complete the 84-day program and no final blood count was taken, we are not able to assess the original treatment outcome accurately.

Please contact our treatment team. We will work with you to determine the best path forward — whether that means resuming the original protocol or starting a new, recalibrated treatment.


Tier 4 — Mixed-Brand Treatment

We do not recommend combining CureFIP™ products with other brands. Different manufacturers use different active concentrations and dosing protocols, and mixed-brand treatment outcomes are difficult to predict or guarantee.

If your cat used products from multiple brands and has relapsed, please contact us directly. We will help you get the FIP infection back under control as quickly as possible with a dosing protocol adapted to your cat's history.

Relapse treatment in this tier typically lasts 2 to 12 weeks depending on severity.
